Scout who performed CPR earns rare award

WHITE BEAR LAKE - Local Boy Scout Brian Murphy is the second member of his troop to receive a rare Boy Scouts of America Heroism Award.

The 17-year-old from White Bear Lake was recognized for performing CPR on a neighbor last winter.

Twins achieve Eagle Scout rank

LINO LAKES - David and Joel Kilgore have each earned the highest advancement award the Boy Scouts of America offers to Scouts - the Eagle Scout Award. Joel and David are members of Troop 232 of Lino Lakes, both joining in May 2006.

Scout earns Heroism Award

MAHTOMEDI - Wyatt Hassel saw a man fall and then the blood start to flow.

Leaving a stamp club meeting at First Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake last June, the Mahtomedi Boy Scout saw Arnie Wallach trip and hit his head.
