Cub Scouting

Cub Scouting recently updated their whole program – It was all ‘new’ as of June, 2015. It is simple to execute for unit leaders and way more fun for the boys! You may visit www.scouting.org for more information about this new program.

Many Waters has prepared this short explanation of how the Cub Scout Program works. It shows how the Scouts Handbooks and Den Leaders’ Guides work together, as well as describing the new Cub Scout Leader Guide, the How-To Guide, the BALOO Guide, and the Ceremony Guide. These handbooks and guides are available at Scout Shops.

For a visual guide to both required and elective Cub Scout Rank Requirements click on your program level below:
Bobcat (joining rank)  *  Lion (Kindergarten)  *  Tiger (1st Grade)  *  Wolf (2nd Grade)  *  Bear (3rd Grade)  *  Webelos (4-5th Grades)
In March, 2016, the Lion Pilot Program was approved for use nationwide. [Thank our Many Waters units for working out the kinks in their pilot program!] Ask your Cub Scout leaders for information on how this Kindergarten level program will be applied in the future.

Here is information about great Camping opportunities for Cub Scouts!!

Here is a list of the EXTRA awards that may be earned at the Cub Scout level, or by an Adult Volunteer Leader: http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/Awards_Central.aspx
