The "Star of the North" award was created in 1998 by Manitou District to recognize leaders who, during the past year, have given extra involvement to Scouting. The purpose of this award is to recognize more adult leaders than allowed for by the District Award of Merit.
Any registered Scouter is elgible to receive this award. A selections committee identifies the recipients from the Star of the North award nominations and District Award of Merit nominations.
We are pleased to recognize the current and past recipients of the Star of the North award.
